Q: When do parents return their photo order form?

Your school should advise parents of when they need to return envelopes by, and who they should give them to.
SPORTS: This year we will be photographing all of the athletes on each team.  With this addition we are able to extend our online ordering gallery and not miss those students who didn’t know they needed pictures!  Your athletes gallery will be open until the following day at midnight! 

Q: Can we order and pay for school photos online?

Yes, we provide a secure online payment system that has been in place for some years now. The online order form is a Mobile friendly, easy and convenient way to order school photos. It also means your children do not need to carry money to school.

Simply click Order Online and complete the details required.
  Sports memory mate orders can also be ordered using the order online link above and searching for your correct event.           

Q: How do I place my online order? (sports questions are further down the list)

This link will direct you to our online ordering system. Here are the steps to follow once you are there:

  1. Click “View all Events & Organizations” (under the white bar).
  2. Choose your School/Event Name in the Event list.
  3. Enter your email address and Login.
  4. Add the names of each student you’ll be placing an order for.  
  5. Browse through and choose a Package option. Next choose your Background & any Add-on selections.
    The name of the student your currently ordering for will appear in Red at the top of the screen
  6. Enter your Family Plan coupon code if applicable (see Family Plan below for details), then Click next step.
  7. Enter each childs School, Teacher & Grade, then click next step.
  8. Enter billing, credit card information and Check Out. Make one easy payment and check your confirmation email.

Q: Can you ship my order to me?

All orders are shipped to the school. You may choose to ship an online order to your home. Look for “Ship to Home” in the add on items section and add to your cart. This will add a shipping fee to your purchase and will alert us to have our lab sent your order directly to your home address. Please enter a proper shipping address for FedEx (no PO boxes). If you ordered with an envelope, please contact us asap to have your order pulled from the rest of the student orders. A shipping fee will apply.

Q: What method of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, VISA and MasterCard. Credit Card payments must be made online.

Q: Do you offer a discount for families with multiple students?

We do! Our Family Plan was created for families with 3 or more students being photographed by Mark’s. When you submit your order online and enter our current coupon code for each order, you will receive a discount! (**Orders must be placed online and have a total of 3 or more orders to qualify). For more information click Family Plan under the About link.
  Spring portraits & Sports memory mate orders do not apply for the discount.

Q: I’ve lost my envelope. What should I do?​

Your school office has a small amount of spare envelopes. However, you can order online without an envelope. Click here to place your order!  
  Your coach may have extra and the photographer will have some as well. You may also order online at the link on sports picture day. 

Q: HELP! Its photo day and I haven’t ordered yet!

​Parents can use our online ordering system to purchase photos a week prior to photo day or the day after photo day. During the fall shoot ALL students are photographed on the day so you will not miss out.

Q: My child forgot to hand in their envelope. What should I do?

During the fall shoot ALL students are photographed on the day so you will not miss out.  You may call the studio with your order and give the envelope with your payment to the school. If you have already paid online, it is not a problem. We have record of your order and you will receive your photos when they are delivered to the school.

Q: Can I still order & pay for photos after photo day?

During the fall shoot ALL students are photographed on the day so you will not miss out.  We will place the order a few days after the last shoot day at your school. So please call our studio as soon as possible to place your order or you can use our online ordering system to purchase photos the day after picture day. All orders we receive after we have processed the initial order will be applied to the retake day list a few weeks later. We will also have a “Event Name Reorders” link available on our website. Here you can order individual prints, but will need your access code that you will receive with the packet pictures at the school. Package prices are only available during the first shoot, we recommend purchasing during the initial shoot time.

Q: Can you photograph my student’s younger siblings who aren’t in school?

Absolutely! We will have additional envelopes on Picture Day if you would like non-school age children or younger siblings to be photographed, or you can order online! They will be delivered to the school with the rest of the photos unless other arrangements have been made.

Q: What if a student is absent on photo day?

We will schedule a “make-up day” with the school after the initial package orders are delivered for any missed students or students that would like a retake. There is a $8 fee due for retakes and we ask that you bring back the original pictures in the envelope. Please give these both to the photographer.
If there is an unsatisfactory expression, the retake is free.
  Regarding sports memory mates: Mark’s does not typically return to the school for sports photos, please call the studio to discuss at 605-724-2559.

Q: Do you Photoshop or manipulate any of the portraits taken of the students?

It is not standard practice at Mark’s to alter students for cosmetic purposes. We do offer a Retouching add-on to purchase if you are looking to soften blemishes. Retouching will not make corrections to hair, teeth or glasses. Please contact our friendly customer service staff for more information. 605-724-2559

Q: What if we don’t like how our photo turned out?

We will schedule a “make-up day” with the school after the initial package orders are delivered for any missed students or students that would like a retake. Please return your portraits in the original envelope on Make-Up Day along with the retake fee of $8. If there is an unsatisfactory expression, the retake is free.
    Regarding sports memory mates, please call the studio to discuss at 724-2559 as every situation is unique.

Q: When will we receive our photos?

​We typically deliver the finished product within 3-5 weeks from the last shoot day at your school.

Q: How do I download the free digital download of my child’s portrait?

When you receive your prints, an order slip will be included in your envelope. On that order slip is a reorder link highlighted in yellow. This link will direct you to the reorder site where you can choose to add a digital download of your image to your cart. You must complete the checkout steps, but your total will be $0.00 for the download.
  Sports memory mate orders do not apply for the free download.

Q: How do I download my purchased Hi Res photos?

When you receive your prints, an order slip will be included in your envelope. On that order slip is a QR code to scan or a link to follow. This link will direct you to the reorder site where you can choose your background and download your digital files. Please note the expiration date on your slip, the download will no longer be available after this time, so please save to your phone or computer. If you don’t have the slip, please give us a call or send an email with the students name and school name and we can help you get to your download.

Q: I ordered a class composite, but it isn’t in my envelope, where is it? 

Class composites are created after the final retakes are completed at the school. We then proof the composite design with the school admin for accuracy and deliver at a later date during the school year (typically before Christmas break).

Q: How do I order my sports memory mate photos online?

  3. Enter your email address and Login.
  4. Add the names of each athlete you’ll be placing an order for.

  6. Enter your Athlete’s information and fill in any other fields below regarding photos with a sibling or friend, then click next step.

  • Start your order and enter the names of the athletes you wish to order for.
  • Choose your package you would like for the first sport and add to cart.
  • On Add Ons page select product “Multiple Sports” and hit Next
  • In your Cart select Add/Remove an athlete from your order. 
  • Add your athletes name again and continue above steps until you have all of your products that you need! 

Unfortunately no, with the EXtreme Graphics product we are unable to put more than one person on an individual memory mate.  Bonus is that your athlete now is more dynamic and will showcase their individuality! 

On our EXtreme Packages ordering page you now have the option to purchase a team picture or a single 8×10 of your athlete.  You will have the option to add more products like buttons and magnets on the following page. 

Yes! Here are some tips on how to order.

  • When starting your athletes order enter their personal package first.  We are not able to accommodate more than one person on an individual memory mate package.
  • On the Add On’s page select product “Buddy Photo with a Sibling or Friend(s)”
  • Choose an Add On product for your buddy picture.  Remember what you chose! There will be a place to type this in at checkout. (If you’d like additional products for your individual package please add them here as well.) 
  • If all is correct, Check Out! 
  • On the next page you will add your athlete’s Sport and Group Name. There will also be a place to add the name of their buddy and what product they would like together. 

Our Picture Day Tips:
Use these tips to help your child get ready for a great-looking school portrait that you’ll treasure forever.

  1. Help your child pick out clothes and colors that look good on them. After all, your child is the star of the photo—not their shirt! Avoid slogans, logos, and big patterns. Small jewelry and accessories are fine but nothing too big or distracting. 
  2. Glasses are okay! Mark & Melissa know all the tricks to reduce glare.
  3. Scheduling haircuts a few weeks ahead of time allows hair to grow back a little, or you can go for the fresh-cut look.
  4. No need to practice smiles ahead of time, this can make them look fake when picture time arrives. Let us work our magic we love their expressions and missing teeth! 
  5. Don’t worry about “perfect”! That hair that always sticks up or a missing tooth shows your child just as they are right now—and you’ll enjoy looking back on that for years to come. On Picture Day, Mark and Melissa will help straighten hair, clothes and check posture. Remember, if you like, we do have retouching options for scrapes and blemishes.
